The Ingeokring organises the Autumn Symposium “From Rock to Opera”.
This symposium is dedicated to Robert Hack who has committed a great part of his working life to research and education in the field of Engineering Geology.
The symposium is hosted by TU Delft, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, takes place in Hall E (the most southern lecture hall in the building), and starts at 13.00 hrs.

A new date, hopefully covid free, has been selected for Wim Verwaal’s farewell symposium co-organized by the Ingeokring and TU Delft.

The Ingeokring Symposium 2021 has a very interesting program on the occasion of celebrating the retirement of Wim Verwaal after 40 years of excellent contribution to the education of Engineering Geology in the Netherlands and beyond.
The symposium will be followed by a food and drinks event from 16:45. Please see below the programme of the day

It is a great pleasure to announce that the 3rd European Regional Conference of IAEG, will be hosted in Athens, Greece, by the IAEG National Group of Greece. The conference will take place from October 6th to 10th, 2021 in Athens at Divani Caravel Hotel.
The activation again of the IAEG regional conference in Europe is a fundamental action for our region. Considering that almost half of the members and National Groups (NGs) of IAEG are from European region, we hope that the initiative will become a stable event, involving the scientific and professional community of the same area.
The conference will be organized with the collection of extensive abstracts or FULL PAPERS (optional).

The Italian Geotechnical Society (AGI), on appointment by the ISRM International Society of Rock Mechanics, is delighted to announce that Italy will host EUROCK 2021 from 21 to 24 September 2021.
The programme includes workshops dedicated to innovative topics, Keynotes lectures delivered by distinguished speakers.
Most of parallel sessions will be opened with a Theme Lecture and will continue with 9 to 11 presentations.
The organizing committee has been working hard to guarantee an event in presence but, unfortunately, the pandemic situation and its resolution is still uncertain and therefore we had to concretely evaluate the possibility of guaranteeing the conference online via live links and downloadable recordings.

On Friday 20 November the Ingeokring hosted a webinar on 3D geo modeling. It was a very successful event with over 60 attendees! The speakers were Keith Turner, Michiel van der Meulen, Robin Wimmers and Mark Greatorex-Davies.
