GDP (“Gentle Driving of Piles”) DEMO Day

We would like to invite you to the “GDP DEMO Day” on Friday November 1, 2019 at the 2e Maasvlakte in Rotterdam. During the event our final test pile will be installed with our novel pile installation method and we invite you to witness the installation.

This “GDP DEMO Day” is part of the GROW GDP project which is short for “Gentle Driving of Piles”. This method is based on simultaneous application of low-frequency and high-frequency vibrations. The field test at the 2e Maasvlakte aims to prove that the technique is efficient, reduces noise emission and does not compromise the pile penetration speed and the soil bearing capacity, which is essential for a stable offshore wind turbine operation.
